the good: Strong design and Microsoft don't always go together, but they do in Windows 7. Users might take a while to get used to the new taskbar and Aero Peek, but they're a pleasure to use.
The bad: Performance is still hit-or-miss in Windows 7. At the ripe age of seven, Windows XP still performs better in some categories.
The bottom line: Windows 7 is more than what Vista should have been, it's where Microsoft needed to go. How much damage Vista did and whether Windows 7 is enough for people to finally abandon Windows XP are questions that nobody has the answers to right now.
Review:
Deserved or not, Microsoft had dug itself a cool, deep, dark hole with Windows Vista. Users demanding that Redmond extend the life of Windows XP wasn't exactly something they could be proud of, either. Bombarded by complaints and negative press even after the first service pack was released, the bar had been set high for Vista's successor: Windows 7. This review is based on an official copy of the Windows 7 RTM that Microsoft provided to CNET on July 30, 2009.

Streamlined interface; better performance on many systems; easier and more capable networking; integrated CD-R/RW playback and burn features; Remote Assistance tool aids troubleshooting and control of remote PCs.
The bottom line: Windows Professional boasts serious corporate administration tools--it's a trustworthy upgrade from Windows 2000.
Review: After a buildup of Hollywood proportions, Microsoft released its final cut of Windows XP, promising that the "biggest release since Windows 95" would end the stability woes of Windows 95 and temper the unfriendly interface of Windows 2000. We found the first release of XP expensive and occasionally annoying--nagging screens and pop-up bubbles galore--and chafed at the new license restrictions. But XP Pro offers powerful Remote Assistance tools, administrative controls, and security, and it wraps up the best features of Windows 2000 in an easier-to-navigate package.

GOOGLE CHROME OS DOWNLOAD

hrome OS completely focuses on the most important part of your computer: your web browser. Its interface is 100% web.
Chrome OS eliminates time sucks: desktop. Even the fastest computer takes 45 seconds to load up!
Nothing is stored on your computer. Chrome OS is literally 100% web based.
Chrome OS will be free!
Chrome OS will be open source.
Chrome OS is not Android.
There are no desktop applications, Literally everything is web based.
Everything that comes in Chrome now will be available in Chrome OS.
When you don’t have a live Internet connection: you can’t store or access data.
Chrome OS, for now, will be on specific netbook like devices. No hybrids available that are compatible with your existing Windows OS or Mac OS.
What does Google’s Chrome OS mean to you? Well for starters you’ll get online faster. In the SEO and Link Building world that translates to time savings for you and increased time spent online by your prospects and clients. But it’s not all butterflies and rainbows. You can’t store or access data unless you have access to an Internet connection. For those in rural areas it’s unlikely that Chrome OS will prove beneficial. Also, most people hate change. Imagine no more start button, no desktop applications, not even a CD-ROM or the ability to watch DVDs on your computer. Literally everything is web based with Chrome OS.

DOWNLOAD UBUNTU 11.04 FREE FULL
here has been many changes in the Default application selection in the upcoming Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal from Ubuntu 10.10. Here’s some new features:

- Unity as been confirmed as default for Ubuntu 11.04 – desktop edition, the desktop version will use the global menu (AppMenu).

- LibreOffice will likely be included in next version of Ubuntu if it’s ready

- Firefox 4 is still favored over Chrome as the default browser in Ubuntu. Chrome still poses too many challenges for Ubuntu (the release cycle doesn’t fit well with Ubuntu Update model and also there are issues with the Global Menu integrations and so on).

- The decision to replace Evolution with Thunderbird in Ubuntu has been deferred. Hopefully Thunderbird will be ready in a cycle or two (it misses a calendar, exchange support, integration with appmenu and messaging menu).

- Banshee will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04 (and thus replace Rhythmbox)

- Oneconf will be included by default in Ubuntu 11.04. OneConf is a mechanism for recording software information in Ubuntu One, and synchronizing with other computers as needed.

- Gnome-dictionary will be removed from the CD

- Nautilus Elementary was also brought up for discussion, but was rejected “because the patches are considered hacks”.

DOWNLOAD FEDORA 15 OS
The Red Hat–backed Fedora Project has released the latest version of its Linux-based operating system, Fedora 15, into the wild.

Despite the similarities of the two leading Linux-based PC operating systems, Fedora has long played second fiddle to Ubuntu in the minds of many Linux fans. Now – for the first time – there are actually major differences between the two distros.

For most users, the debate between the two can be distilled down to GNOME 3 versus Unity. But as always, Fedora remains quite a bit different under the surface, as well.

With the Unity Shell making waves – and not always good ones – in the Ubuntu community, Fedora 15 offers something of a refuge for those frustrated with the Unity Shell.

Unfortunately GNOME 3, Fedora's new default desktop, while in much better shape than Ubuntu's Unity, is still very different than any version of GNOME you've used before.

There's no question that GNOME 3 will be something of a shock for those accustomed to working with the GNOME 2.x line, but once you spend some time with it, GNOME 3 really does feel like a vast improvement over GNOME 2. After all, GNOME 2 borrowed much of its UI design and basic interface concepts from Windows 95 – and it's been a long time since Windows 95 was cutting-edge.
